The RoleThe RoleJOB OBJECTIVES To lead, plan, organize, develop, direct, supervise, and control the activities of the Industrial Safety services providing training courses in industrial safety, health, environment, emergency response and rescue management. Responsible within the corporate guidelines of profitability, leadership, growth, and discipline "Profit and Loss" results & development in correlation with the EVP directives. TASKS & DUTIES 1. Ensure proper and effective implementation of the corporate policies and procedures governing business practices, carry out departmental audit reviews and install corrective actions whenever deemed necessary. 2. Oversee HSE plans, assess, report and certify the HSE courses. 3. Lead a team of Operations and HSE trainers and safety officers and advise on safety issues. 4. Vigorously participate in the marketing and sales activities according to predetermined set of objectives, strategies and action plans. 5. Maintain viable and healthy relation with strategic accounts and business partners. 6. Negotiate deals to secure optimum prices and guarantee maximum support from suppliers. 7. Remain abreast of market conditions/trends and direct action towards capitalizing on prevailing opportunities and implement adequate actions to combat threats. 8. Develop and plan ambitious yearly budgets and relevant forecasts on sound economic and market factors and ensure such factors are met in the most cost efficient manners. 9. Ensure quality level and standardized delivery of products, materials, services to client(s). 10. Co-ordinate with purchasing centers to ensure cost efficient, timely, effective acquisition of merchandise that answers market needs. |
RequirementsRequirementsWORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED A minimum of ten years experience in a senior management position in a similar environment. EDUCATION, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS • University graduate, BS or MBA in Business or related fields • Dip, RSA - (NVQ Level 4) • MIIRSM - Member International Institute Risk and Safety Management • IOSH - Graduate of Institution of Occupational Safety and Health • OSHA Construction Industry 500 Trainer • OSHA General Industry 501 Trainer • Trainer in Fire • Medic First Aid International ¡V Train the Trainer • Strong planning and budgetary skills. • Excellent management and motivation skills. |
