Job description / Role
My client specializes in inspections, certifications and testing of household electrical appliances.
They are looking for a General Manager to head up the division in the UAE, covering operations across the GCC region. This role will involve full P&L responsibility aswell as business development, marketing and overall control of the business streams in the area.
Currently the company has a workforce of around 30 people within this specific division, but it is part of a larger multi-national group of companies that operate within Industrial services and Engineering.
This role will suit somebody either at General Manager level now, or looking for a step up from Operations Manager level.
Requirements
- 10 + years relevant Industry experience, with essential knowledge of inspections and certifications for electrical appliances
- Exposure to Middle Eastern codes and standards for approvals etc
- Must have relevant technical knowledge of testing/calibrations equipment
- Experience leading multi-national teams including laboratory staff
- Degree or Higher Education in relevant subject, Business Administration desirable
