Employment: Full Time

An opportunity has presented itself for this Global organisation specialising in high value logistics for a General Manager Middle East.

The role of the General Manager will be to lead the Sales, Operations and Customer Service functions of this prestigious logistics company. To ensure that financial and non financial objectives are achieved through retaining and acquiring new business, contributing to the profitability of the Middle East Business and positioning the company as the preferred provider in the market.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and achieve annual budget for the Middle East business
- Create and implement strategic and key account management and acquisition strategy to gain and retain business
- Monitor market trends to identify new opportunities and diversify the client base
- Build relationships with key influencers across commercial, government and relevant trade associations
- Develop and maintain relationships with decision makers/influencers on multiple levels for strategic/key clients, and oversight of core clients
- Direct Dubai Operations Manager to ensure excellent customer service and operational efficiency
- Work with the Dubai Operations and Finance teams to prepare monthly trading reports, maintain competitive cost basis and meet agreed performance objectives
- Ensure the Middle East Region provides the necessary support for the companies global network
- Develop and maintain commercial/operational relationships across the wider Group to improve the customer experience
- Be aware of/engage in opportunities within the company and through external sources for professional development of self and employees (succession planning)
- Knowledge and understanding of the competitor landscape

Requirements

- Demonstrated leadership capabilities to deliver change, manage and motivate people and provide strategic direction.
- Must have relevant managerial experience working in a commercially driven environment.
- Proven track record of progressive revenue growth in scope and responsibility.
- Excellent client relationship and decision making skills.
- Ability to provide market analysis and trading reports.
- Ability to develop and create professional client presentations.
- Knowledge and experience of budgeting/forecasting process.
- IT literate with Microsoft Office suite.
- Flexible and adaptable can do attitude.
- Educated to Degree Level
- Significant travel required.
