General Manager - Operations and Sales

Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible for the effective management of the manufacturing plant including quality control, maintenance, production control and planning to ensure delivery of quality products on time and within budget. Responsibilities also include managing the sales team and supporting new business development activities to increase sales of the company products. All management activities will be in line with existing corporate finance, legal and HR directives that achieve manufacturing and growth objectives.

- Support Regional EVP in the development and implementation of business strategies through effective management of the sales force and manufacturing operations
- Identify issues, recommendations and corrective actions to ensure annual targets are achieved on time and within budget
- Manage operations & sales activities to achieve agreed targets
- Ensure plant operations are in line with the company standards, policies and procedures
- Prepare plant operations budget and monitor and control cost
- Assess problems and identify solutions to ensure production schedule is on time and within budget
- Oversee production schedule to ensure timely delivery of quality products to the customer
- Identify sales and new business opportunities that will assist in reaching and/or exceeding sales targets in Indonesia.
- Actively manage sales force and provide support to ensure the annual sales targets are achieved
- Develop new agents and distributors to support sales activities
- Prepare sales department budget and monitor sales performance
- Liaise with clients to identify any sales related issues and take corrective measures when needed
- Coordinate with customers regarding operations standards to ensure delivery as per their requirements
- Represent the company with clients, business partners and ministry / government representatives
- Provides timely, accurate and complete reports on the regions operations, sales and growth objectives

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Finance or Management
- 10+ years of relevant experience with time in both manufacturing and sales environments
- 3 years of senior level experience within an organization

Preferred Experience:
- Masters degree in Engineering, Business/Finance or related fields

Job-Specific Skills:
- Ability to identify and evaluate new sales and business opportunities
- Ability to evaluate manufacturing bottlenecks and issues and develop solutions that ensure production process achieves required targets
- Exceptional communication skills across all levels of an organization
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and diverse environment
