General Manager - Precast Manufacturing

Job description / Role

Salary: up to QAR 60,000 based on experience
Location: Doha, Qatar

Our Client operates a large Precast Manufacturing plant facility in Qatar.

The plant supplies precast concrete for all requirements in the growing construction industry in the country.

Due to their expansion and growth opportunity they are seeking a General Manager reporting to the Chairman and CEO to take this operation to the next level.

Key role is to manage the existing business and to grow the operation in conjunction with the rapid demand.

Key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
- Develops annual operating plan and budget for the operation
- Participates in final pricing of proposals by providing counsel and information of the projects.
- Maintain regular contact with all assigned project Clients, including development of personal relationship, and strive to keep Client satisfaction at high levels.
- Participate in corporate policy recommendations.
- Resolve disputes and conflicts related to projects and Client.
- Review and approve data submitted by staff for business development proposals.
- Provides direct input for proposals, strategic plans, presentations and contract negotiations.
- Develops and maintains client liaison for active projects, and acts in an advisory capacity to current clients, maintaining close liaison by conferring on existing and/or potential services.
- Responsible for ensuring that project status and financial reports are provided on assigned projects, and for initiation for any necessary corrective actions.
- Responsible for the quality of services provided by the organization in their relationship with other divisions and departments, corporate organization, client representatives, contractors and suppliers.
- Lead Sales and marketing team in order to attain business targets.
- Implement & Review all quality management system documents, reports, etc.
- Training and development of staff

Requirements

- Post Graduate with minimum 10 years experience in precast manufacturing
- A minimum of 3- 5 years as a General Manger in a company / group
- Experience in working with multi discipline projects
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite [Excel, Word] and MS Project
- Experience in estimation and design
- Excellent Leadership & interpersonal skills
- Sound knowledge of budgeting and innovative ideas in sales and marketing of company products.
- Excellent communication skills with customers and employees.
- Proven approach to problem solving
- Posses good monitoring / assessing performance of employees
- Ability to handle multitasking situations in the organization
- Arab Nationals preferred
