General Manager - Restaurant Brands - UAE

The Role:
Our General Managers operate their respective business efficiently and profitably whilst representing Alshaya's values as a world leading retailer. You will work with business management and operations teams to boost the performance of your restaurant, as well as overseeing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, delegating to their respective managers. As part of delivering a top tier dining experience, you will ensure that the quality of service in all areas is second-to-none.

In order to achieve your goals, you will need to be able to create a positive working environment through your leadership style, maintain the highest possible food standards, minimise waste, and deal with internal teams and external suppliers, all while implementing Alshaya's policies and procedures. It will also be your job to nurture leadership potential in your staff, providing opportunities for their learning and development.

Your primary route for personal development within Alshaya will come from demonstrating your skill and dedication towards working in your chosen brand. The French-inspired Brasserie, contemporary Japanese restaurant Katsuya, and the world-famous Cheesecake Factory provide just a few examples of Alshaya's wide range of food brands which are in need of strong, effective management.

Requirements

* At least 5 years' retail experience as a General Manager in a high-volume business ($15 million + annual sales)
* A university degree in an appropriate field, or equivalent experience
* Fluency in written and verbal English.
