Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a reputable group with Retails Operations in Europe, Asia and GCC.

This role is a newly created position that reports directly to the CEO and will be responsible for growing Retail business in the UAE

Main responsibilities will include:
- Looking for and assessing new opportunities for development on the market. Including, but not limited to:
- Introducing new brands, not present on the market
- Buying businesses existing on the market
- New areas of investment, e.g. real estate, production facilities etc
- Long-term planning of the new businesses development, including
- Market positioning
- Assessment of the competition on the market
- Meetings with the potential partners
- Field visits with the potential partners around the Russian market
- Negotiations with the new brands/businesses about the commercial terms
- Negotiations with the new brands/businesses about the contract terms
- Due Diligence analysis for acquisition of existing businesses

Requirements

- Retail start up experience with proven success track record, ideally some exposure to the UAE market
- Experience in managing buying for an apparel brand with own selection from the brands assortment for a chain of not less than 10 retail stores
- Proven experience in effective Retail Brand Marketing & Advertising
- Experience in drafting commercial agreements with brand owners for long-term exclusive distribution agreements for wholesale and retail
- Experience in import logistics
- Experience in building long-term models of the new brands
- Excellent communication skills in English, other languages would be a huge advantage
- Entrepreneurial and creative flair
