Employment: Full Time

Exciting opportunity to join one the regions best in class employers, working for the local franchise partner of a hugely successful international retail concept with operations in over 20 countries. After experiencing excellent & continued growth through their retail brands over the last 2 years they are now seeking to appoint a Dubai based General Manager to take the brands operations to the next level throughout the GCC.

Reporting to the CEO you will be responsible for managing the end to end brand with full P&L responsibility for Operations, Merchandise, Store Expansion, Standards etc. Some more details are listed below:

Job Description:
- Reporting to the CEO you will be tasked with running a successful retail division with 100+ stores within the GCC
- Responsible for setting and achieving annual sales & profit targets through both retail and distribution channels
- Looking at new brand development concepts to complement the existing brand portfolio
- Working with the Property Department to identify new store sites within the managed region
- Strategic planning of growth forecast and required buying principals to ensure the correct stock / logistics levels are maintained and accurate
- Overall people management and leadership of a number of Operations Managers / Buying & Planning, Visual Merchandise, HR, Finance, logistics departments etc.
- High level relationship management and principal management with international partners to ensure a positive win-win outcomes

Requirements

- Minimum of 12 years senior retail experience with some experience of working with a franchise retail concept at a General Manager level working with Fashion, Department Stores or General Merchandise
- Ideally you will have worked for large structured retail companies, European, Australian or US brands with some current or recent Middle East experience is essential
- Must be a strategic leader with the ability to inspire your team day to day to deliver and motivate them to exceed expectations
- Strong understanding of Middle East retailing, although spoken Arabic would be preferred it is not essential
- Excellent work ethic, strong leadership qualities and a focused team player are critical attributes
- Strong people management, fiscal & budget preparation, good computer skills in Excel, Word are prerequisites
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural team and appreciation of other cultures & values
