Employment: Full Time

An emerging Retail Group backed by an international investment group is looking for an entrepreneurial General Manager to develop and grow the company. Reporting directly to the Board of Directions, the role involves the complete strategic, financial, and operational management of the company. The successful candidate would be required to plan and execute the growth strategy of the business in line with industry best practices, and in doing so, would manage all business relationships, recruit/motivate personnel, seek out new channels/markets, and deliver performance in line with the business plan.

The companys Fashion Division includes a dynamic fashion jewelry brand with a long standing heritage and a territory of over 20 countries across the Middle East. The brand was launched in a flagship mall in Bahrain and is expanding its presence across the GCC. The brand includes an extensive range of high quality, hand-made cosmetic jewelry with broad appeal as a fashionable value brand.

The companys F&B Division has developed a portfolio of several unique, international franchise brands ranging from Quick Service Restaurants to Fast Casual formats. The initial focus is the development and launch of multiple locations in the Bahrain market, ranging from locations in major shopping malls to strategic stand-alone locations. Future expansion would target Saudi Arabia and/or Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the business strategy of the company
- Assume full profit & loss responsibility of the business
- Prepare and present annual budget and business plan
- Recruit and motivate staff in line with budget
- Manage and grow relationships with key partners, suppliers, and franchisors
- Establish targets, KPIs, schedules, policies and procedures
- Manage all day-to-day operations within budget and to the highest standards
- Monitor performance of the business and report to the Board regularly
- Comply with the requirements and expectations of business partners

Requirements

- 10+ years of retail management experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop and grow successful GCC-based retail business
- Experience in managing multiple brands and markets with a GCC focus
- Excellence in verbal and written communication
- Strong commercial and financial acumen
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Customer oriented and service minded
- Have strong leadership, management and coaching skills to develop others
- Professional integrity and development
