The RoleThe RoleGeneral Manager required to work for a leading multinational oil storage and trade company to be based in Egypt. The company has numerous locations throughout the world and in the Middle East; you will be expected to build up a terminal organization from scratch within Egypt. The terminal will play a pivotal role in the energy supply of Egypt for their expanding business. You will be involved in overseeing the construction of their oil storage installations and working closely with their joint venture partners in achieving this aim. As this is a start up in Egypt, you will be expected to recruit all the staff necessary and then manage staff to help realize the company objectives. Another key element of this position will be developing relationships with the joint venture partners and also plan an active part in the design and control of the commercial plan. |
RequirementsRequirementsThey are looking for experienced Manager, ideally from Oil/ Energy/ Logistic / Shipping sector who have had experience in starting businesses from scratch. This is an excellent career opportunity to build a successful operation in the region with the support of a large multinational. You will have at least 5 years experience in a senior management position and have operational / commercial experience in terminal, shipping, oil or related sector. In addition, you will have worked in an international environment and able to adapt easily to the local environment. It would be ideal if you had experience working with joint ventures, Middle East working experience and global mobility. The successful candidate will as a minimum have a degree in either, Economics, Engineering, Shipping, Applied Sciences or ideally an MBA. This role will be based in Egypt although you will be required to travel occasionally throughout the Middle East and to their Head Office in Hamburg. |
