We currently have an opportunity in our catering division for a General Manager based in one of our operations in the GCC region. This role will manage the catering operations and deliver excellent catering service to our clients. The main objective of this role is to manage the catering operations in designated remote areas and to deliver operational excellence exceeding catering service expectations whilst enhancing the capabilities of the company. You will develop strategies and concepts for the improvement and ongoing development of catering services required to maintain Supreme Foodservice as a professional service supplier. This position will conducting internal audits of all aspects of contracts on an ongoing basis ensuring strict compliance with both catering operating principals and procedures is also of great importance to this role. This position will also support Supreme Catering Operations and Unit managers in relation to all operational aspects of the contracts and catering units and hold regular operational meetings including service level meetings and QA/HACCP meetings with relevant staff. You will actively be involved in the development and training of the catering team ensuring a cohesive focused team of specialists and to accept responsibility for all reporting, invoicing, inventory and assets, and auditing all procedures to ensure compliancy towards the agreed goals. This role will also be responsible for the recruitment, training and development of staff where appropriate as well as oversee the security of the company’s assets and maintain the assets to the highest standards possible and will monitor catering procedures in relation to HACCP, OHS&E and Quality accreditation. This role is a huge, complex and challenging opportunity for the right candidate and requires someone who is focused, determined, driven, because this role by no means a walk in the park.

Requirements

•A minimum of 5 years of experience within a catering service environment covering all aspects from purchasing through to administration in a senior management role.
•Having held a senior management position in other organizations in the GCC region.
•Experience of working in remote and arduous locations.
• Confident and able to work under a medium to High Security threat.
•Educated to a minimum standard equivalent to A level, preferably with a qualification in Management in Catering/ Hospitality.
•Possess excellent people skills, commercial awareness, budget and labour management is necessary, financial astuteness and customer service skills.
•A sound knowledge of industrial catering operations, administration awareness, excellent communication skills and self motivation.
•Remote site experience is ideal.
