Employment: Full Time

Salary AED 30-40,000

Our Dubai based medical devices client is seeking a General Manager.

The General Manager will collaborate with the senior management team in head office to ensure consistent high standards of service and commitment to quality are met. They will collaborate on the design and implementation of the business development plan, as well as participate in the strategic sales, marketing, and promotion plan for the company. Locating and identifying opportunities, marketing and closing new accounts in accordance with corporate goals.

The company will operate under the guidance of the General Manager who will be responsible for tasks in the project charter. The General Manager will be responsible for recruitment and performance management and ensure that the company is on track to meet its financial goals and milestones that are stated in the Project Business Plan.

Business Development & Relationship Management:
- Ensure the needs of the business are met as it evolves
- Seek and develop relationships with key stakeholders in the UAE and the greater GCC region
- Develop and cultivate professional relationships with all clients
- Oversee and execute the successful management of the entire business development process lead generation, credentials pitch, evaluation, account management, follow up, develop proposals, negotiation, and closing agreements
- Self-manage large strategic accounts and work towards the development of partnerships, qualification of business opportunities, and long-term growth plans for the company's business
- Become a key point of contact with the customer, identify customer requirements and communicate to the concerned stakeholders
- Participate in defining sales, marketing and promotional strategies in the region as agreed with the directors to generate new revenue streams, further penetrate existing ones, and enhance awareness and interest of prospective clients

Procurement:
- Selection of suppliers through a tight procurement process
- Set-up of a catalogue of products to be provided for clients
- Continuous review of best in market and innovational changes to ensure market leading products are available
- Extensive connection with best practice and legislative changes to ensure safe and legal products are available from a regulatory perspective in each country

Business Processes:
- Review and setting of business processes with the company Business Strategy Team to set terms and conditions with customers

Supply Chain and Customer Service:
- Analysis and development of most sustainable and financially effective supply chain globally to ensure the best value and quality for our customers
- Employment and development of a well-qualified maintenance team to keep products properly serviced according to OEM requirements
- Development of a comprehensive customer service and education plan in cooperation with suppliers, potential clients, end users and other stakeholders, to ensure continued support in the community and the longevity of client relationships

Public and Media Relations:
- Identify, organize and participate in promotional activities such as exhibitions, conferences and seminars
- Attend forums to create leads for the business
- Build on own existing relationships to promote the business and presence in the community

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Business related education preferable
- Project Management skills
- Extensive Medical Industry experience in the Middle East
- Thorough knowledge of the cultural and business etiquette of the UAE and the broader GCC region
- Demonstrable success of business development for a medical related business within the Middle East
