General Manager - Luxury - Doha

A luxury brand opening in Doha is seeking a General Manager. This person will be responsible for overseeing all operations, ensuring that revenue and profits targets are met through driving sales, managing cost, and motivating teams to ensure that a first class experience is created so that the brand stands as the highest retail destination in Qatar. You will be responsible for achieving set goals and establishing performance standards that meet profitable targets in addition to managing day to day operations and long-term objectives.

Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the opening and set-up of the destination
* Liaise with owners and key stakeholders to insure that the brand delivers the one vision brand of International stores.
* Responsible for the oversight of the design look of the store according to requirements.
* Work with the architects, development and facilities partners to ensure that the store is opened on time and within budget.
* Source relevant target luxury brands and secure contracts with the brands.
* Recruit and hire key management for the stores both back and front of house.
* Assure that marketing strategies are in place with key local and international partners.
* Responsible for the P&L; drive the budget and planning process to ensure that sales and profit are maximized.
* Establish clear lines of reporting within the management teams are in place and meeting the set goals and requirements.
* Ensure that all store teams and management are trained to a high level and developed through effective performance management, appraisals and coaching.
* Oversee the clientele experience ensuring that the highest level of standards are consistently achieved and that clientele feedback is used to further enhance the overall luxury shopping experience.
* Oversee the buying teams to ensure a clear buying vision and strategy is translated and coherent across the store and its various departments.
* Ensure Visual Merchandising is managed in a way to promote the stores overall persona.
* Deliver the highest operational standards across the entire store.
* Work with Finance to deliver effective stock takes and the implementation of stock accuracy systems, to ensure that cost are controlled and targets are met.
* Ensure security audit checks are carried out and required corrective action is taken.

Requirements

* Professional individual that can work independently
* Strong leadership skills
* Ability to oversee multiple projects adapting to changing priorities as necessary
* Good report writing skills
* Work responsibly and effectively with other Business Lines and the Executives.
* Experienced GM/MD/ Director with P&L responsibility.
* Experience with high end luxury retail/ multi brands.
* Proven ability to lead and inspire teams
* Attention to details is mandatory
* Proven ability to set goals and establish performance standards, achieve targets in addition to managing short medium and long term objectives of a luxury retail destination
