Our client, a newly established pharmaceutical wholesale distribution company, which is part of a diversified group, seeks an experienced General Manager with a business development background for their international operations based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. With links and support of an international major holding group, this exciting opportunity is newly created with this firm who are renowned for their innovation in the region.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the proven performer we seek will be responsible for:
• Overall responsibility for developing and implementing business development strategies
• Development of the company’s policies and procedures
• Building and managing a team
• Establishing relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturing companies and suppliers
• Building a solid distribution channel
• Negotiating and closing contracts with pharmaceutical companies and clients
• Producing periodic reports, budgets and business plans to management
Requirements
• Bachelor and/or Masters Degree in related field.
• 10 years senior level experience in a similar field, with a minimum of 5 years in a reputable wholesale pharmaceutical distribution company.
• Ability to develop exclusivity for Pharmaceutical products distribution in Saudi Arabia, GCC and Middle East.
• Must have competitive knowledge of trading & local market trends.
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic.
• A self starter, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Proven performer in achieving high targets.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Computer Literate with experience in Microsoft Packages – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience working in the Middle East essential.
• Some travel will be required as per business requirements.
