The RoleThe RoleGeneral Manager Russia (Western Region) Freight Forwarding International company Salary circa US$90,000 per annum, based on experience Based in St. Petersburg Our international client requires an experienced professional for their well established forwarding business in Russia. This role has enormous possibilities for developing the business and taking advantage of the many growth areas that exist. Candidates must have experience in all aspects of Freight Forwarding including seafreight, airfreight and project cargo. You must be able to demonstrate strong leadership abilities, a hands-on management style and solid commercial experience. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the operation in Western Russia with full control and responsibility for the commercial activity and quality of service delivery. Develop and implement strategies and plans to drive the business forward and take advantage of wide ranging opportunities. Lead business development activities and actively engage with key clients & vendors Fully responsible for the P&L, credit control and accounting systems. Ensure that the Company is properly staffed with qualified, trained & motivated employees, responsible for promoting a strong performance based culture. Responsible for implementing quality management systems and processes. |
RequirementsRequirementsRequirements: An experienced Freight Forwarding professional with proven experience and success - preferably with a multinational forwarder both inside and outside Russia A strong leader with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve continuous improvement, growth and operational excellence. Should have good operational knowledge with a systematic approach to improving and implementing processes and systems. Must have a strong commercial bias and be able to develop existing business streams and be innovative in securing new business based on local opportunities. Financial skills and experience in managing a P&L, planning and overall budgetary control. Strong communication & negotiation skills with clients and employees Drive and resilience, particularly with regard to implementing strategy and managing development & change. Excellent communication skills in Russian and English essential, with the ability to formulate and deliver presentations effectively. |
