Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Summary:
Be responsible for the overall direction of the unit, business management (staff, P&L, business processes etc), business development and sales. Obtaining profit contribution by managing staff; establishing and accomplishing business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Develops strategic plan and business growth of Saudi Arabia by securing financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.
2) Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress.
3) Awareness of the regional market and competitors.
4) Responsible for supervision of all assigned staff. Responsibilities include interviewing, recommendation for hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing of work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
5) Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.
6) Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
7) Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
8) Looks for and takes the extra step needed to make the difference between good and excellent.
9) Always looking for innovative solutions and how things can be improved.
10) Committed to seeing work through to conclusion in the time frames available.
11) Aspires to achieve high levels of quality for management and delivery.
12) Maintains confidence over sensitive issues and supports line management upwards and downwards.

Requirements

1) Excellent communicator; both verbally and in writing, and aware of the need to share information and promote engagement / ownership.
2) Good interpersonal skills.
3) A strong leader and a problem solver; comfortable with addressing challenges.
4) Knowledge of company, industry and local regulatory standards, and how they are applied.
5) Must have at least 5 years experience in the exhibition and events industry in the same or similar capacity.
6) Must have sound technical knowledge.
