Job description / Role
• Provide Obstetrics & Gynaecology medical services to patients, through current best-evidence based standards, using best judgment at all times, and in accordance with the Hospital Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations, and with instructions from the Specialist Obstetric/Gynaecology.
• Participate equitably in the on-call roster.
• Demonstrate commitment to continuing medical education.
• Participate in review and planning activities relevant to the development of the obstetric/gynaecological service and the hospital.
• Fulfill professional requirements for continuing maintenance of competence in all aspects of obstetric/gynaecological specialty.
• Carry out other assigned duties within the appropriate scope of knowledge, skills and abilities of the position
Requirements
• Basic Medical Degree recognized by the Dubai Department of Health
• Certification of higher professional education in Obstetrics & Gynaecology recognised by the Dubai Department of Health.
• Postgraduate Degree in Obstetrics/Gynaecology, or equivalent recognised by the Dubai Department of Health for licensing as General Practitioner in Obstetrics/Gynaecology.
• Five (5) years of practical experience after obtaining M.B.B.S degree or its equivalent (including internship / first part and/or post graduate diploma years).
• General clinical knowledge is essential (to be able to obtain a DHA license)
• Preferably at least 3 years recent experience in a western hospital with an average of 1500 – 2000 deliveries per year.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, doctors and other hospital staff.
• Proficiency in obstetric/gynaecological procedures.
• Appropriate experience and competence in all aspects of obstetric/gynecological specialty.
• Fluency in English (speak, read and write) Arabic will be an added advantage
