The RoleThe RoleMaintain and repair all allocated generators under direct guidance of the Generator Supervisor. Ensure Generators are collected/returned to the DI compound as and when required. Ensure all received generators are thoroughly cleaned in order for a thorough initial inspection/loadbank can be performed. Ensure timely and accurate completion of Initial Inspection Reports, Load Bank Test Certificates and Daily Time sheets. Ensure all paperwork is legible and submitted to the Administrative Assistant in a timely manner. Ensure high engineering hygiene standards are maintained at all times. Ensure compliance with all regulations, code of conduct and Security aspects of the Company (and or Donor where applicable). Promote, audit and enforce throughout all aspects of the jobholders influence the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policy. |
RequirementsRequirementsMinimum 5 years’ experience working on Diesel Engines Clean Driving License required, Forklift driver qualification advantageous Experience "stripping" engines and knowledge of all aspects of a major overhaul required; experience performing major overhauls desirable Sound knowledge of Health and Safety Systems and practices required; health and safety qualifications advantageous Experience with performing Load Banks on Generators advantageous Knowledge of working within a Workshop environment is a must. Conversational English required. |
