ABOUT CLIENT:
A well-established oil & gas entity of Middle-east
JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE:
Leads geomodeling and geoscience activities in a multidisciplinary team for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) deployment. Provides advice related to Reservoir Geology matters to help the EOR team achieve their EOR pilots objectives. This requires someone with breadth and depth of technical knowledge and experience as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
The scope of the job covers the following major areas:
1. Analyze, interpret and integrate broad data sets (seismic, rock physics, core, petrophysics, structural, sedimentology, stratigraphy and dynamic data) for reservoir characterization.
2.Promotes effective integration of the key aspects of Reservoir Geology with other disciplines during the elaboration of integrated sector models forEOR pilots.
3. Conduct and review characterization of naturally fractured reservoirs based on regional geology, analysis of core, image logs and production data in order to be included in the geocellular models.
4. Construct Discrete Fracture Network (DFN) models for fractured reservoirs and perform advanced geostatistical analysis for property distribution.
5. Provide support and consultation for the development of geophysical projects (seismic acquisition, anisotropic processing, microseismic, VSP, pore-pressure and new technologies).
Requirements
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of BSc in Geology and/or Geophysics.
Preferably, 12+ years varied relevant industry experience.
Significant experience in application of geosciences in appraisal, well planning and execution, field development, reservoir characterization, geological modeling and interface with reservoir simulation models.
