About the Business Description and Desired Qualifications Project / business overview Chartered Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist to work as part of an existing team in Abu Dhabi. The individual will be responsible for the delivery of geotechnical designs, calculations and supervision for Abu Dhabi projects and other projects in the region as required. Key role objective Provide geotechnical assistance to the local design teams including production of reports, drawings and calculations to the satisfaction of both internal and external clients.Key areas of responsibility The priorities of this role include: Provide geotechnical designs, calculations and supervision to internal and external projects. Undertake site inspections and supervision of investigation and construction work as required. Reporting to the local geotechnical manager. |
RequirementsRequirementsBasic Qualifications Key requirements The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge: 7 years post graduate experience. Hold a Masters degree or better in Geotechnical Engineering with 1st degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering or engineering geology or similar. Preference given to a Chartered member of a relevant institution and experience of working on Middle East projects. Sound verbal and written communication skills in English. Team Player but able to work on own initiative when required. Minimum qualifications: MSc in Geotechnical Engineering preferred, BSc (Hons) in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, engineering geology, or geology or similar as minimum.
