About the Business

Description and Desired Qualifications
Project / business overview Experienced Chartered Geotechnical Engineer/Engineering Geologist to work as part of an expanding team in Qatar supporting various design teams. The individual will develop geotechnical appreciation and provide guidance to internal and external clients, be responsible for the delivery of geotechnical input on projects and involved in mentoring geotechnical personnel.Key role objective Provide guidance to the local design teams and manage the production of reports, provide reality checks of geotechnical analyses and specifications to the satisfaction of both internal and external clientsKey areas of responsibility

The priorities of this role include:
Review programme and financial control on projects.
Assist in identification of the level of technical input appropriate to the available time and financial constraints.
Reality checking of technical input.
Timely completion of timesheets.
Follow the ""One Halcrow"" philosophy.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications
Key requirements: The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
10 years post graduate experience.
Hold a Masters degree or better in Geotechnical Engineering with 1st degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering or engineering geology or similar.
Be a Chartered member of a relevant institution for at least 5 years.
Experience of working on Middle East projects.
Sound verbal and written communication skills in English Team Player but able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.

Minimum qualifications:
MSc in Geotechnical Engineering, BSc (Hons) in civil engineering, engineering geology, or geology or similar.
Chartered Engineer.
