The RoleThe RoleReporting into the Global HR manager and working in this global Oil & Gas organisation you will be an operational HR generalist who is hands on and enjoys contributing to HR strategy through projects and team work. You will be required to assist the Global HR Manager in implementing human resources programs by providing human resources services including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management and personnel transactions, succession planning, employee relations and retention, audit compliance and labour relations. We are looking for an experienced candidate who has the capability to support as a true HR Generalist, from employee relations, recruitment, learning and development, policy and procedures and HR project work. Primary Responsibilities: • Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending courses of action. • Improves manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counselling managers and employees. • Completes special projects by clarifying project objective; setting timetables and schedules; conducting research; developing and organizing information; fulfilling transactions. • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential • Well aware and complies with the different regional and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. |
RequirementsRequirements• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, HR or a related field • Five to eight years of relevant HR experience • Candidates with English as the native language will be preferred • Experience in the O&G industry will be an added advantage • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing organizational change initiatives, developing global workforce plans and identifying and creating organization capabilities • Leverages strong business acumen and analytical capability to integrate HR and business strategies • Effective project management skills – ability to define projects, develop overall project plans with clear deliverables and timelines and manage project teams • Ability to maintain highest level of confidentiality • Flexibility to travel when required • A professional and personal approach • Ability to develop relationships at all levels and across all styles, with the emotional intelligence to know when to influence and when to step back • A patient, considered and tactful approach when developing new relationships in order to gain long term buy in. |
