Global System Solutions Sales Manager - GCC

We are currently searching for an Global System Solutions Sales Manager to be responsible for the profitable management of the system sales activity for the GCC region and its Key Accounts. Our client is a Global Leader in Logistics and Material Handling Solutions, providing storage and warehousing solutions for all types of facilities, from manufacturing plants to major distribution centres, specialising in employing a vast array of automated and semi-automated technologies.

The role will drive the continued sales growth to achieve corporate systems sales goals in accordance with the agreed business plan for the GCC region. This will include managing pre and post sales implementation and the ongoing profitability of the regional operations. The role will lead a small but specialized team sourcing, consulting and delivering end-to-end distribution system solutions for clients in accordance with defined strategic goals including sales growth, market share, customer satisfaction, employee engagement and profitability.
- Responsible for Sales strategy and co-ordination of direct and indirect sales channels ensuring key bids and tenders are appropriately priced and reviewed.
- Promote material handling and software solutions that best support the distribution process specific for each customer ie consultative sales.
- Analyse and solve customer material handling requirements though interactive consultation and site visits where necessary.
- Implement sales plan by coordinating personal sales activities with the appropriate representation during trade shows etc.
- Monitoring of pre sales pipelines, proposal and bid submissions and execution of solutions and post sales service levels to differentiate service levels at all times.
- Setting, reviewing and constantly improving KPIs within the team roles to be increasing performance, market share, customer service and overall profitability of the GCC business
- Support the supply centre sales teams in the region with systems enquiries and qualification support.
- Collaborate with the global sales team to ensure monthly and annual sales targets are achieved.
- Proactive persuasion of consulting channels to nominate client's product and solutions in tenders.

Requirements

- A proven business developer with consultative sales skills in software driven distribution solutions
- The ideal background would be a Mechanical Engineering degree or supply chain related degree with an understanding of distribution systems and the supply chain process.
- Ideally 8 years plus in material handling systems sales with warehouse automation exposure and knowledge.
- Overall business experience -10 years plus as the person needs to hit the ground running in terms of picking up key client relationships and understanding the running of distribution centers and their role in the supply chain process.
- Proficiency with AutoCad, understand CAD drawings, plus proficiency with Microsoft office suite products plus Microsoft project.
- Proven capability to grow business and build teams will be critical to build an effective pre and post sales capability.
- Proven consultative sales skills with experience in high value sales with long (6m to 5 years) sales cycles, plus the verbal and written presentation skills required to succeed in that environment.
- Proven commercial sales and management experience (ideally with the market leaders in automated distributions systems or similar solutions such as cranes, software solutions within the supply chain etc.
