Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Charterhouse is working with a luxury watch brand. Our client is looking to hire a Goldsmith / Jeweller to join their team.

This position will report to the Service Centre Manager.

Your primary responsibility will be to work with gold and other precious metals to repair jewellery. You will also be responsible for setting stones into the work with fine instruments using a jewellers eyeglass. You will collect job cards from the workshop and cut, saw, file and polish the articles, using hand tools and polishing wheels.

You will also solder pieces of jewellery together, using a soldering torch or iron as well as enlarge or reduce ring sizes by sawing through band, adding or removing metal and soldering the ends together. In addition, you will repair broken clasps, pins, rings and other jewellery by soldering or replacing broken parts.

Requirements

The successful candidate should possess the ability to work effectively across groups and departments coupled with a cross-functional mind-set. It is essential you have strong analytical and management skills as well as the ability to multitask and prioritise your workload.
