Job description / Role
We are looking to recruit a dynamic Assistant Events Manager for The ELS Club to manage and execute all club events utilizing the club facilities, develop contracts and coordinate all administrative and operation aspects of events.
Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, successful applicant will be required to:
Act as the lead on all enquiries related to events at the club and provide clients with quotations, negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales as directed by the Sales & Marketing Manager.
Assist the Sales & Marketing Manager to develop, execute and manage a detailed operational plan for events.
Up-selling to existing members to meet and exceed financial goals.
Develop strong customer relationships through appropriate client communication.
Responsible for communicating with the various departments to ensure that the event and related functions are executed to exceed the clients expectations.
Call and follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction, addressing complaints as needed.
Monitor new trends and services in the events industry.
Monitor sales & track revenue projections on a weekly/monthly basis.
Manage key accounts and forge long term relationships.
Work closely with Finance team to set-up accounts, design contracts and collect payments.
Plan and conduct fam trips for potential clients.
Responsible for business event orders.
Responsible for meeting all events related revenue targets as set out in yearly budget.
Coordinate departmental meetings on a regular basis to ensure full understanding of event related activities per department.
Be disposed to work extended hours and week-ends when required ultimately delivering revenue opportunities.
He/She will also liaise with Sales & Marketing and Food & Beverage departments with regards to event operations ensuring effective Coordination of all stakeholders to ensure the that inputs and actions are timely and in accordance with the needs of the event and its event plan.
Requirements
The Ideal candidate will have the following:
Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Hospitality.
Must have minimum of 2 to 4 years of UAE experience in events management field.
Strong F&B and wedding planning experience.
Basic Sales experience.
Dynamic and understanding of the high end luxury business.
Extremely driven, passionate & self-motivated.
Flexible to work un-sociable hrs.
Excellent Communication Skills, must be fluent in English.
Presentable and a team player.
Female candidate preferred.
A valid U.A.E. driving license and own a personal car.
