Charterhouse is working with a market leading multinational corporation who specialises in the construction industry. Our client is looking to hire an experienced and mature GCC National Government Affairs (PRO) Manager to be based in their Qatar office.

Working alongside Senior Management, you will oversee, review and maintain all employee documents ensuring full compliance with the MOL and other governmental bodies in Qatar. You will also manage all registrations and licenses as well as provide regular updates and communications to Senior Management regarding any legislation that will impact the business. The Government Affairs Department has a solid team of over five employees and you will be responsible for ensuring the team complies with all Qatari Labour Laws, Immigration and Government Laws whilst providing a professional service across the business.

Requirements

The successful candidate should be a GCC National who is Degree educated and has at least 10 years experience working within a PRO / HR role. You should also have previous experience of managing and leading a team as well as be equipped with a solid network of relevant contacts in Qatar. It is essential you have excellent knowledge of all Qatari, Immigration and Labour Laws and are able to work under pressure meeting changing deadlines and priorities. Exceptional English and Arabic communication skills alongside excellent knowledge in MS Office: Outlook, Word and Excel is crucial for this role.
