Employment: Full Time

A leading international law firm are seeking a highly proactive, Arabic speaking individual to undertake the role of Government Liaison Officer at their offices based in Abu Dhabi.

Supporting the Partners and case handlers within the corporate services department, you will provide government liaison services to clients in the region. Key responsibilities include obtaining corporate approvals, submitting and following up on complicated and routine applications, handling Trade Marks and Intellectual Property submissions and preparing draft letters to government departments. In addition, you will represent clients directly in certain matters that relate to the police and public prosecutions as well as organise meetings with high ranking government officials.

Requirements

You will be communicating directly with ministries, government departments and free zone authorities on a regular basis therefore, excellent interpersonal skills are a must, as well as being able to deal with confidential information in a very discreet manner. Ideally, our client requires an individual with good research skills and commercial awareness with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.

The successful candidate will have good contacts with officials in the key government departments in Abu Dhabi and be educated up to a high school/ diploma level. Preference will be given to those with at least 1-3 years' GLO experience and have excellent knowledge of Abu Dhabi systems and procedures; law firm experience is desirable.
