Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Build and maintain effective relationships with Government agencies and handle all government related matters delegated to him by the Government Affairs Manager to protect business interests and ensure smooth operations.
Extensively dealing with Government and semi-government agencies.

Requirements

1. Coordinate activities with Government agencies on all matters referred to him by the Government Affairs manager.
2. Respond to inquiries from government representatives about the organization and its operation & employees, in order to provide accurate information.
3. Facilitate the communication between company Organisations and Government agencies and guide company employees on Government formalities and assist with company related matters for proper government communications. Take corrective action when needed.
4. Prepare any support documents or data that the Government Affairs manager would use during government meetings/negotiations and report finished documents to the manager for sign-off and escalate any issues or problems.
5. Receive Government officials according to set protocol, accompany them on tours of company installations and arranges for any services that they may require.
6. Maintain contact with government agencies / offices regarding current status of documents or orders.
7. Liaise with the Government on issues related to complex issues, unusual labour matters, complaints by the authorities against the Company or specific employees, and issuance of permits and clearances.
8. Continuously promote company image, protect its assets and interests, and strengthen its relations with the Government.
9. Represent company in governmental affairs based on the authority given by the manager
10. Meet, pick-up escort and greets visitors, at local airport and assists with immigration and customs officials as needed.
11. Support Relations representative in any activity or task relating to government interactions in order to accelerate the flow of business.
12. Keep an accurate documentation of all activities and tasks with governmental agencies for future reference in case of any complications.
13. Maintain regular contact with important Government officials, and develop a personal knowledge of their backgrounds in order to convey company ’s objectives and problems.
14. Liaise with relevant government bodies (Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Interior, and Medical commission, etc.) efficiently in order to ensure expediting of formalities and document processing.
15. Respond to, and coordinate expatriate employees’ issues that require liaison and representation in front of the Government and its departments.
16. Extend all possible assistance towards the resolution of civil and criminal cases, summons, and other similar cases involving Company personnel.
17. Perform any job-related activities as requested by the immediate supervisor/manager.
