Job description / Role
AT TRL we have an enviable reputation throughout the world for our expertise in transport research, consultancy, testing and certification.
Our rapidly expanding business area within the Middle East is bringing fresh ideas into the design, construction and maintenance of transport infrastructure, including their environmental impacts, youll be involved in areas such as building high-speed road monitoring equipment, assessing new materials and design methods, developing management tools (such as whole-life-cost models and performance indicators) and shaping sustainable construction policies.
We are looking to recruit a graduate with a civil engineering background who will join our team, based in Doha, Qatar. This role will support the management and delivery of projects within this region.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Team member contributing to collection and analysis of data
- Presentation of outcomes to clients in verbal and written reports
- Implementation of H&S and quality management procedures
- Delivery of tasks under own initiative, to client satisfaction and achieving planned margin
- Develop the technical expertise necessary for the provision of robust advice and standards
Requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
- Analysis of complex data sets or databases
- Ability to plan and lead project work
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- Self-motivated and ability to think innovatively
- Adaptable and flexible to new work situations
Other Requirements
- Ideally we are looking for a Qatar National or individual born in Qatar
- Written and spoken Arabic desirable but not essential
