Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Job description / Role

Graduate Quantity Surveyor + 4 years PQE, Infrastructure

I am looking for chartered MRICS Quantity Surveyor with significant Infrastructure and civil experience spanning;
Roads, Utilities, Highways, Bridges and RAIL / MTR. Any of these area’s will qualify for consideration in this role.

The client is a UK consultancy with significant projects and future scope for Qatar over the next 10 years.

The scope of the role will be;

• Pre and Post contract commercial support and cost management on Roads, Rail, Bridges, Tunnels and Highways of significant value.
• Package responsibility and management overview with some responsibility for junior members of staff and support teams.
• Support the management of the contracts and procurement strategy, standards, policies, procedures and best practices; risk management.
• Work as a team player on major project and take increased responsibility as you develop.
• Written and verbal communication and client liaising at all levels, high stakeholder interface and management.
• Involvement in Claims preparation and defence; resolving disputes and agreeing final accounts

Expected package will be around 29,000 to 36,000 depending of age and experience. Plus flights and medical cover.

Requirements

You will need 4 years+ PQE experience in these roles. You will be western origin and qualified in Quantity Surveying (candidates should be MRICS )
Ideally you will come from PQS or consulting environment and had significant experience in client side.
You will have excellent written and spoken English and be able to articulate and represent the company in a professional manner.
You will have strong experience in civil engineering and ideally worked in the Middle East.
Strong exposure to FIDIC and or NEC forms of contract are essential.
