Graphic Designer - IKEA - Dubai - Regional Office

To create, produce and implement all IKEA store communication of the assigned project during the commercial planning and commercial build up. Be a natural source of know how for IKEA new stores, therefore I need to be up to date regarding all new solutions and ideas. Always be a good example in all the tasks assigned during the new store projects.

Main responsibilities:
- To ensure we communicate and visualise the uniqueness of the IKEA Brand, inside and outside the IKEA store to strengthen the IKEA brand and distance us from the competition by: communicating the IKEA Concept, our Swedish roots and unique services enabling the IKEA mechanical sales system, which is a prerequisite to fulfill the IKEA Business idea/promise of the store and for customers to buy supporting sales steering to commercial priorities.
- Create, produce and implement all store communication of the assigned project during the commercial planning and commercial build up of a new store.
- Reflecting the IKEA brand identity and creating visual impact in all commercial, sales support and co-worker areas.
- To work with the Service Office (SO) Communication & Interior Design (Com &In) colleagues, expansion colleagues and other functions to secure the alignment of our stores with global and national priorities within the assigned areas of responsibility.
- NEW STORE PLANNING AND BUILD UP
- Follow, create, produce and implement the IKEA store communication package for the new store opening based on IKEA principles and recommendations but adapted to local knowledge of the new territory/ market.
- Work with the graphic communications planners to develop and implement the store communication package to meet and exceed visitor's expectations on the IKEA shopping and buying experience, strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA product range, graphic identity and tone of voice.
- To use graphic communication skills and this knowledge to provide relevant graphic communication to secure one IKEA identity.
- Working with the visual merchandise planners expansion, interior design planners expansion to ensure consistency in how we communicate throughout our new stores.
- Working with my SO Com & In colleagues to ensure that all we communicate to the stores is consistent, understandable and cost-effective for them to implement.
- Work towards the agreed time schedules for new store commercial planning and build up periods.
- Create and prioritize the action plan for the assigned areas during the commercial build up.

Ensure that graphic communication:
- Is prioritized and placed correctly
- Consistent and understandable
- Clear and uncluttered
- Supports self/choice and the mechanical sales system.

COACHING
- Support and coach the new store graphic communicators to secure that the graphic communication is prioritized, placed correctly, consistent and understandable, clear and uncluttered with the customer in focus.
- Participate in workshops for new store graphic communicators on all IKEA principles in connection to the IKEA brand identity and transfer of know how.

REGIONAL SUPPORT
- Support the SO Graphic Communication Leader when required to ensure the uniqueness of the IKEA Brand identity in the store communication to distance us from the competition.
- Working with SO Graphic Leader in developing solutions that communicate the IKEA product range in a way that reflects its width and depth and strengthens our low-price profile on all levels.
- Working with SO Com & In colleagues and the commercial team to plan and implement new stores and rebuilds to secure that the IKEA Concept reflects our local market needs.

Requirements

- Has thorough knowledge of the role and responsibilities of the Communication & Interior Design department
- Has a passion for interior design, home furnishings and design
- 3 years in a similar role.
- Ideally knowledge of the IKEA Concept
