Graphic Designer – UAE National

Job description / Role

Support PC game based simulation and training product development by creating interactive 3D and 2D assets for CryEngine applications running on Windows 7. Communicate and participate with a team of engineers to produce creative graphic designs to meet production requirements. This position typically works under general supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise decision-making authority.

Proficient in 3D Studio Max, Photoshop, and PolyTrans.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
• Design, create, modify, port, and maintain a wide range of CryEngine 3 compatible 3D and 2D graphics art assets for simulation and training including an interactive virtual ship environment, shipboard missions equipment, and a set of interactive human avatars
• Prepare presentation materials utilizing Microsoft Office applications and prepare/support product demonstrations for customer
• Participate in reviews, and coordinate art asset development and procurement in a co-located, multi-company team environment
• Ensure graphics utilized fully satisfy fidelity and construction requirements specified and support defined and implicit system performance requirements for the customer’s specified PC platform running Windows 7
• Support and respond to Quality Assurance during product testing
• Respond to and resolve customer issues in animation and modeling assets
• Utilize and improve the defined graphics development pipeline
• Coordinate with a variety of engineers, artists, and project professionals to employ a wide range of skills and software tools in support of the visual and technical designs for various IMI Level training scenarios
• Support the overall look of curriculum development to maintain a consistent brand across all training modules
• Work within budgetary and schedule constraints to achieve assigned objectives

Requirements

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Four-year college degree in a 3D Graphics Modeling and Animation related discipline, plus 3 years related experience. Proficient in 3D Studio Max, Photoshop, and PolyTrans. Strong understanding of and experience with 3D graphics development pipeline in a military training environment. Must possess strong animation and design sensibilities. Able to prioritize, complete multiple tasks and work under deadlines. Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form. Must be able to take direction and critiques as well as work closely with various members of a courseware development team. Experience with real-time game engines and asset production desired (Unity, Unreal, CryENGINE, etc). Experience developing immersive, optimized, realistic real-time animations and effects desired. Experience with importing and exporting data across a variety of platforms. Demonstrated experience modeling, texturing, lighting, animating, and shading 3D objects, terrains, characters, or creating visual effects. Strong artistic and design sensibilities are a must for this position so a portfolio review of your best work is required before consideration.

Ability to obtain a Security Clearance required.
