Graphic Designer

Job description / Role

Salary: AED 12,000-15,000

A leading luxury retailer based in the UAE are currently looking to appoint a Graphic Designer to be based at their head office in Abu Dhabi.

The successful candidate will:
- Preparing advertising layouts (including print, outdoor and digital) and submitting for approval as per the timeline set for assigned brands.
- Requesting or ordering artworks from principals as per their system or by email.
- Reviewing all advertisements before and after the approvals to ensure that all brand guidelines are being observed.
- Timely submission of layouts to Media Agency to publish the advertisements.
- Preparing visual layouts for showrooms (duratrans, foam boards etc.) as per VM and Brand Managers request.
- Communicate with the brands and update yearly guidelines and monitoring updated address panels in the ads.
- Preparing the list of Visual codes every month as per the media plan.
- Coordinating with Brand Marketing team on advertising visuals as per the stock availability and type of publication.
- Getting the final approval on the layout from Brand Marketing team as per the timeline.
- Doing the media schedules on monthly basis for internal communication and ensuring that the references and prices are correct.
- Manually checking the magazines, newspapers and ensuring that proper visuals are published as per the guidelines in media plan and approvals.
- Preparing the creative layouts for all CRM activities (email shots, newsletters, invitations, etc.)
- Coordinating the layouts for all corporate sales tools (business cards, corporate brochures, etc.)
- Support the Marketing department on all creative artworks needed for brand and corporate events.
- Manage the collection of information and layout for the Marketing Newsletter each quarter.
- Creative support for digital platforms when needed (Instagram, FB, Twitter, LinkedIn, website)

Requirements

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe In-Design, Adobe Photoshop.
- Strong skills in using PageMaker, Quark Xpress, FreeHand, Mac Paint.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative mind-set ability to design / propose layouts that reflect a luxury image.
- Highly organized, and detail-oriented.
- High School education required Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Self-motivated with excellent work ethic.
- Team player works well with others and communicates effectively within all levels of the organization.
- Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task / prioritize and manage numerous projects simultaneously and work under pressure at times.
- Years of experience: 5-8 years.
- Industry backgrounds: creative agencies, luxury or retailer experience is a plus.
- Abu Dhabi resident preferable.
- Roles or job title: Graphic Designer, Artwork & Creative Assistant.
- No specific requirement for UAE experience.
