In this key position you will report to the Board and accept responsibility for working closely with the family owners in developing the Group's overall strategic direction, ensuring that the growth plans are in place, leading and motivating the Executive Leadership Team, monitoring the performance measures and ensuring that the overall (family) company objectives are achieved to deliver an optimum outcome and financial return to shareholders.

In a broad sense, other key areas of responsibility will include business planning and budgeting, the execution and delivery of the agreed business strategy and objectives, the effective management of all stakeholder relationships, ensuring compliance with the relevant statutory and regulatory guidelines, individual and team performance management and the development of the key leaders across the business for the future.

Requirements

Candidates of choice will demonstrate a successful track record of achievement as a proven CEO or COO. Your experience will have been gained in a progressive company(s) with exposure to a broad range of industry sectors, a multi-industry company or a conglomerate. There is a strong preference for experience in working for a family owned business and experience in the Middle East is a pre-requisite.

You will ideally have had responsibility for the management of a larger company with revenue circa USD$1B+ and employee numbers in excess of 3,000.

You will also possess a formal University qualification and post graduate qualification(s).

In addition, you will demonstrate the following:

- Strong verbal and written communication skills and an effective listener
- A respect for traditional business values (trust, respect, loyalty, integrity, commitment and dedication)
- Strong financial skills and commercial business acumen
- Highly organised and methodical with a well-planned approach
- Strong relationship building and problem solving skills
- Able to work both at a strategic level and also implement the business plans at an operational level
- High level presentation and negotiation skills
- Enthusiastic, personable and accommodating nature - respectful and diplomatic
- Establishes strong an appropriate relationships with all key stakeholders and customers
- Maintains a flexible work schedule to meet the demands of an executive management position
- Demonstrates a commitment to continued professional growth and development
