The ideal candidate will have proven experience in the commercial management of large scale civil build construction projects at a senior level (Commercial Director, Senior Commercial Manager).
Job Description
* Deliver commercial and contractual input, negotiation and processes, and take control of all commercial aspects of the company.
* Oversee all projects and manage all costs relating to these.
* Lead contract planning, negotiations and compilation.
* Review documents passed on by Commercial Department.
Requirements
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or similar preferred.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in GCC in the commercial/contract management in major construction Projects.
* Strong commercial background is essential.
* Sound knowledge of civil / construction industry practices, industry standards, and FIDIC based contracts.
* Main contractor experience in large construction build projects is essential.
* Proven ability to operate independently in a Senior Manager role.
* Must be well organized and have effective negotiation and problem solving skills.
* Good client management and team management skills.
* Experience in EOT, change orders/claims, contract law, contract drafting and negotiation.
