Group Finance Director

The Company
My client is a group of companies with interests in real estate, agriculture and advisory services. . An experienced FD is required to work as finance director for the group. Dependent upon the skill set of the candidate, there may also be an opportunity to assist group companies with advisory work.

The role is based in Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The Role

Primary Responsibilities

- Analyse and advance new business opportunities
- Advise group businesses on finance planning and management
- Manage accurate and timely monthly and annual financial reporting
- Maintain tight financial controls throughout the business.
- Ensure compliance within necessary regulatory frameworks
- Management of cash and working capital
- Maintain appropriate accounting policies and procedures
- Preparation of annual financial budgets and monthly flexed budgets.
- Liaising with key third parties.
- Providing advisory services to client base

Requirements

The Person

- Qualified accountant with at least 5 years CFO experience
- International business experience
- Ideally will have worked in the Middle East
- Big 4 background and high level client advisory experience
- Technically up to date - ideally IFRS and US GAAP
- Strong excel skills and financial modelling experience
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Diplomatic but firm, with strong personality.
- Highly refined analytical skills to quickly review and analyse business processes and operating issues
- Excellent management and leadership skills.

Salary
US$ 140,000 - 150,000
