The RoleThe RoleTo drive the group consolidation process, leading on all statutory reporting, tax returns across multiple geographies and entities, review of all balance sheet reconciliation and controls, and ensuring up-to-date financial policies and procedures. Advise the Group Financial Controller on all technical financial issues, operational issues and control issues. Specific Key Tasks and Responsibilities: • Lead the Group’s monthly, quarterly and annual consolidation process. • Primary technical financial advisor to the Group Financial Controller and Group senior management team. • Key contributor to the development of a new ERP system with focus on enhancing financial control and process improvement. • Take the lead on statutory reporting for all of the Group’s legal entities, managing the relationship with the auditors and ensuring a successful annual audit process. • Contribution to Group tax planning and strategy. Responsibility for timely and accurate tax filings in all countries of operation. • Maintenance and review of all monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reporting for all group entities. • Advise on and play a role in executing the Group’s strategy with regards to corporate set-up, including structuring of intercompany loans and transfer pricing. • Produce timely and accurate weekly cashflow forecasts, managing upstream and downstream cashflows to optimise the Group’s working capital position. • Input to the financial accounting aspects of ad hoc projects including acquisitions, JVs, restructurings and other corporate transactions. • Ownership of the Group’s financial SOPs, ensuring continuous improvement of financial control and contributing to process efficiency efforts. • To deputise the Group Financial Controller and provide adequate cover. Act as a check point for Payroll, Gratuity and Business expense claims challenging any discrepancies or errors. General Additional Tasks and Responsibilities: • To participate meetings with advisors, auditors and other stakeholders where appropriate. • Collaborate across Business Units and Support Services • To adhere to the company’s policy and practice (i.e. written or implied). • Due to the changing nature of the business this position may require you to fulfill other duties as assigned by your Line Manager. |
RequirementsRequirements• A qualified accountant with at least 4 years post-qualification experience, including a significant period of time spent in technical finance roles, including multi-currency consolidation, tax and statutory reporting. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organisation and at all levels. • A high standard of written presentational skills is essential |
