The RoleThe RoleAs the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for the following: Company Strategies: Contribute to the formulation of strategies from a financial perspective and ensure proper budget formulation, in line with IFA HR policy, and after approval ensure proper implementation within IFA HR Finance Department, in order to contribute to realization of short-and long-term IFA HR objectives. Governance: Manage governance in the Finance Department by identifying risks, developing and implementing control procedures, in co-operation with IFA HR, in order to minimize risks in the operating department from IFA HR and other operating companies’ perspectives. The Financial Controller will also liaise with external auditors for timely completion of audits and quarterly reviews of the financial statements of the Company. Planning, Forecasting and Budgeting: Prepare accurate and realistic forecasts of business performance to Executive Management; based on IFA HR growth objectives in order to give parties involved tools and information to adequately control business. The Financial Controller will also be responsible for preparing monthly supplier reconciliations, bank reconciliations, ensure timely submission of periodic MIS reports to HOD. He also needs to ensure the monthly, quarterly and annual accounts in accordance with the prevailing laws and regulations and relevant provisions of international accounting standards. The Financial Controller will also be responsible for preparing the Company’s annual budget and monitoring the Company’s performance vis-ŕ-vis the budget and also support the entire payroll function. Accounting, Reporting and Analysis: Ensure the construction of financial and management reporting, including the selection and implementation of financial reporting systems, maintenance and verification of all financial records, in line with IFA HR accounting standards and IFA HR standard control procedures, as well as construct financial analysis, in order to enable Executive Management, and other relevant parties, to gain insight into the performance of the Company. The Financial Controller will also be responsible for all activities relating to the general ledger function of the Company, directing, co-coordinating and control payments of expenses to various developers, contractors, consultants, suppliers & vendors. Procurement and Interconnect: Manage and ensure international and national purchases and inventories as well as support in negotiating interconnected issues, within IFA HR guidelines and budget and compliance with local laws. Cash Flow: Manage and ensure future operational funding, in line with IFA HR funding strategy, as well as build relationships with funding institutions and advisors in order to have cash available and be able to reach financial targets. Negotiate and arrange project finance and oversee capital expenditure on projects. |
RequirementsRequirementsRequired Qualifications & Experience: The ideal candidate will be a qualified / registered / certified, seasoned Finance Professional. You should be ACCA or CA qualified. A minimum of 8 years commercial experience is required. Experience in the real estate, hotel, vacation ownership and property environment would be highly beneficial. Excellent written and verbal English & communication skills are required. Experience in the South African market is essential to this role. |
