Employment: Full Time

Responsible for compliance with the agreed risk limits and methodologies as well as ensuring that risk exposures are reported in a timely and accurate manner. To manage risk in compliance with local regulatory requirements as well as address any risk-related questions from country regulators (such as Central Bank). To have a firm grasp of all risks (Market, Liquidity, Operational and Credit).

Requirements

- Establishing and maintaining an effective Market Risk Management system.
- Monitoring, maintaining and managing an appropriate Market Risk Exposure across the Group
- Implement & maintain the overall Risk Management Framework for the Bank and oversee its effective application.
- Develop and maintain risk (market, liquidity, credit and operational) identification, measurement and modeling capabilities which are objective, consistent and compliant with applicable regulations
- Ensure that material risk exposures and related issues are reported to the GCRO and the BRC/Board as required.
- Design, maintain and effectively communicate risk control parameters across the Bank, including policies, control standards, risk exposure limits and other control levers in order to maintain the Bank's risk profile in line with overall risk appetite.
- Understand and provide insight about the markets and positions for Global Market Risk ("GMR"), front office management and GCRO/BRC as required.
- Report to the Group CRO (and ALCO as a technical member) with full responsibility for development and implementation of the banks market and liquidity risk management frameworks, managing middle office functions, reporting funding liquidity risk, and monitoring and mitigating structural interest rate and FX risks.
- Establish limit management framework for Treasury/Investment businesses across all asset classes; and set up methodologies to quantify credit exposure equivalent (CEE) for counterparty credit risk.
- Manage the banks daily liquidity reporting as part of early warning indicators for operational liquidity risk management, periodically run stress testing on liquidity risk and Earnings at Risk, and analyze the results given balance sheet assets and liability structures to identify potential risks and evaluate appropriate risk mitigations.
- Develop risk appetite and controls for investment portfolios; assess trading and non-trading market risks through decomposition of portfolio risk factors, stress testing and factor sensitivity analysis.
- Determine optimal hedging strategies and timing for risk mitigation with analysis of regional and global financial market conditions.
- Set up and manage IAS-compliant hedge accounting & effectiveness testing process.
- Analyze and approve new products / exposures which have a mark-to-market impact on the financial statements; approve trading and hedging decisions or limit requests within the delegated approval authority
- Manage preparation, analysis and commentary on daily / monthly P&L reports; perform month-end independent price verifications and advise on valuation reserves; approve relevant regulatory reports
- Present comprehensive monthly market risk review to MEXCO/ALCO to ensure that senior management is fully aware of the banks market risk exposures, trading and investment activities and evolution of the banks market risk and liquidity risk profiles
- Work with the Front and Back Offices to validate deal and pricing information for new / complex cash and derivative trades through various sources and valuation engines; analyze deal structures and booking methods for accurate deal capture to ensure proper P&L calculation and risk reporting and monitoring
- Act as leading subject matter expert in implementing major treasury and risk systems, defining all reference static data, configuring system structures for valuation, limit and accounting booking, designing UAT test cases with possible booking methods, and coordinating project take-on of existing transactions
- Assist management on ad-hoc risk management projects (e.g. analyze impact of Basel III on banks earnings and capital, designed and implemented RAROC model on a bank-wide basis, and assessed capital adequacy implication given Basel II ICAAP implementation).
- Develops and documents the Banks Market risk management policies and procedures and ensures that risk data and supporting documentation is organized and easily verified, ensure that the measurement system and procedures are regularly tested and updated, the model assumptions verified periodically and evaluated in terms of their adequacy for the needs based on the actual activities.
- Maintains updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the field and related matters of interest to the department
