The Position:
Group Sales Manager is responsible for Customer Account and Field Sales. The person appointed must possess the ability to succeed in a significant Australian/New Zealand leadership role.

Principal Accountabilities and Goals:
- Meet/exceed annual volume and market share objectives of all brands across all channels.
- Negotiate with key Trade leaders and succeed in driving significant improvement in trading term management
- Provide leadership to staff via strategic analysis, category development and resource management.
- Build sales talent via recruitment and development of high calibre individuals.
- Improve quality of strategic customer planning via in-depth ongoing analysis of market trends and identification of sales organisation strengths and weaknesses

Requirements

* You MUST be prepared to travel to Australia for final interview.

* Local salary package conditions apply and you would be expected to cover your own expenses in a move to Australia.

* You need to be a very highly motivated, disciplined passionate Sales Leader who can lead teams and negotiate at the highest level with global and local retailers.
* Current or past experience in Europe (specifically with UK/German retailers) USA, Asia (Modern Trade) is highly valued for this role in addition to local retailer experience.
* The ideal candidate will have the ability to communicate well and develop highly effective working relationships with a broad range of individuals. He/she must be of an extremely high calibre and must demonstrate all necessary skills and qualities to rise to the top of this major national group.
* 10-15 years multi-channel experience with high level relationships with UK top 4 accounts is a must. With cross-functional experience, for example in category management and marketing preferred.
* The incumbent will demonstrate the ability to run the business at a Sales Director level overseeing all functions including National Business, Category, Shopper, Commercial and large Field Team 100+
