Job description / Role
The Group Technical Accountant will undertake a wide range of globally focused and group wide technical accounting and project activities acting as the main focal point for technical accounting queries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in acquisition and divestment accounting and finance due diligence projects
* Act as the main focal point for technical accounting queries received from global finance teams and senior management and ensure all queries are responded to effectively and in a timely manner
* Maintain the Corporate Accounting Policy Manual and ensure the manual is updated to reflect any business or IFRS developments
* Update and develop IFRS training materials for group wide finance teams
* Prepare Group impact memoranda for all IFRS developments
* Participate in IFRS implementation and roll out projects
* Review Groups financial statements
* Assist in quarter and year ends
* Monthly close of selected holding companies
* Statutory audit and preparation of annual accounts for selected holding companies
Requirements
Candidates must be ACA / ACCA / CPA Qualified, have strong analytical skills with good knowledge of ERP systems. Additionally you must have a deep understanding if IFRS and have performed accounts preparation of Group Accounts under IFRS.
You must be self motivated and be able to work independently and with a culturally diverse team.
Preference will be given to any Emirati candidates.
