The RoleThe RoleThe multiple award-winning Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts has been conceptualized as a “Sanctuary for the Senses” whose beautiful properties can be found in stunning locations such as the Seychelles, the Maldives, Bintan (Indonesia), Phuket (Thailand), Bangkok (Thailand), Ringha (China) and Lijiang (China). In partnership with the iconic and landmark development the Meydan Racecourse, Banyan Tree will be operating “The Meydan” Hotel consisting of 280 Suites, 5 spectacular restaurants, a signature Banyan Tree Spa and meeting facilities for up to 400 guests. Within the First phase of the recruitment process, we are looking for an experienced and qualified management team to lead this exciting project. Guest Service Manager's Responsibilities: 1. Directs and controls all subordinate telephone staff to ensure that all day to day operational matters are handled on time and guest expectations are met and exceeded. 2. Schedules employees to ensure efficient use of human resources. 3. Reports system failures and breakdowns and follows up on repair schedules. 4. To handle and transfer all incoming calls according to the standards and procedures of the hotel. 5. To handle inquiries by providing appropriate information and following up to ensure completion. 6. To assist in locating guests and employees when requested. 7. To ensure that guests expectations are met or exceeded by providing an efficient, friendly and attentive service. 8. To update telephone guides in the hotel computer system. 9. To handle the hotel wake up and voice mails systems. 10. To take and forward messages accurately and in a timely manner. 11. Handle hotel’s paging system. 12. Administers the hotel’s billing system for telephone charges. 13. Log & handle customer complaints if possible, or reports them to supervisors. 14. Assists in the preparation of the hotel’s annual budget, and helps to maximize the yield of the hotel and control departmental expenses.. 15. Assists in the maintenance of efficient administration preparing and submitting reports on time as directed. 16. Assists in the selection, training, and evaluation of subordinate employees. 17. Coaches, counsels, disciplines and develops subordinate employees. |
RequirementsRequirements• With 2 – 3 years relevant experience in similar position in a International Luxury hotel • The Guest Service Manager will handle the increasing customer groups. • These positions will oversee daily guest services operations to ensure and maintain the highest levels of guest service. • The Guest Service Manager will coordinate and oversee effectiveness of departments namely Rooms & Guest Services, reservation, communication center, guest services to provide the best services to the maximum of guests’ satisfaction with an objective to increase the profitability of the hotel. • Good communications skills in English |
