Health and Safety Officer

Job description / Role

- Develops, deploys and continuously improves safety at KSA facilities.
- Provide visible safety leadership on the factory shop floor.
- Develop, implement the safety policy and champion proactive safety management systems.
- Drive awareness and accountability for safety performance through all levels of the practices.
- Coordinate and monitor behavioral based safety systems, industrial hygiene, ergonomic programs, risk assessments, fire safety security and incident investigations and discover and implement corrective actions to prevent personal injuries and property loss.
- Engage stakeholders to develop a culture of continuously improving performance.
- Communicate and train, the site leadership and stakeholders in the development and implementation of site specific safety programs.
- Chair Joint Health and Safety Committee and conduct weekly meetings with safety staff to review and establish action registers.
- Produce regular summary reports and analysis on Health and Safety activities, performance measurement and results.
- Plan, prepare and present monthly health and safety reports. Utilize action registers to ensure departments have clear up and down communicating. Plan, prepare and present annual EHS plans, goals, objectives and results for KSA facilities.

Requirements

- Diploma or Degree in related field, (Safety, Ergonomics, Engineering)
- Supervisory experience in manufacturing and progressive related experience in the health and safety field.
- Ability to lead, influences others, foster teamwork and collaborate
- Strong decision making, communicating and presentation skills
- Problem solving skills and effective time management and organizational skills
