The Role


The purpose of HR Advisor post is to cover and support the Country VP with strategic and operational HR objectives and activities. This ranges from daily HR activities to working strategically with Team Leaders of the PU. In addition to that the successful candidate will be working closely with HR Regional functions like Rewards and Resourcing as well as other HR Advisors in the SPU for SPU wide HR Projects

In January 2010, a set of agreements were ratified between BP Exploration Operating Company Ltd, Jordan, The National Petroleum Company (NPC) and the Government of Jordan, to farm-in to NPC’s Risha gas concession. Jordan fits neatly into BP’s strategy of accessing material tight gas opportunities where we can exploit our North American tight gas expertise and technology. BP intends to undertake a 3-4 year evaluation program of seismic and drilling activity to establish the resource potential of the Risha field, followed by a decision to enter into the Development and Production period of the agreement.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Public Administration / Human Resources
- 5 - 7 years or more experience as an HR Generalist
- Jordanian National
- Fluency in English & Arabic
- High level of communication Skills
- Able to work under pressure of short deadlines
- High level of team work
- Mature level of understanding the Business
- Able to prioritize objectives / multitasking
- Numerical abilities (communication with Finance teams / resp for HR budget)
