Al-Futtaim Automotive occupies the pre-eminent position of the largest distributor of automotive products in the Emirates, and leads the rapid development of automobile business in the UAE, while continuing to contribute to their brands worldwide growth.

Today, Al-Futtaim Automotive is synonymous with brands such as Toyota, Lexus, Honda, Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler and Volvo which enjoy undisputed leadership in the UAE in terms of the largest number of vehicles on the road. We also hold exclusive franchises for some of the world's top automobiles, plant and automotive products like Hino - Japan's leading heavy-duty vehicle manufacturer, Toyo & Chen shin/ Maxxis tyres, GS & Panasonic batteries as well as the franchises for Hertz Rent-a-car - the worlds largest rental and leasing company and FAMCO heavy goods Machinery.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced HR Business Partner to work from our Dubai based operations. You will be responsible for creating and supporting a continuous improved environment for HR activities within the Business Units (i.e. optimal use of processes, systems and practices)

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Providing consultative advise to managers and staff on a wide range of HR matters including discipline/ grievance and performance management
• Acting as a trusted advisor to senior line management on all human capital management matters
• Having a deep understanding of the business, and in particular the sources of profit and the cost base, so as to implement HR strategies and practices that support robust business growth; reinforce a culture of performance focus, meritocracy and diversity; and comply with Group HR policy* Communicating HR plans and progress to the Business Unit
• Ensuring annual manpower budgeting exercise is conducted accurately and efficiently
• Focus on measuring the employee engagement of the business units and take actions necessary to improve it
• Supporting and facilitating the implementation of business structure reorganisation and consolidation to deliver efficiencies
• Support line managers in creating a culture of employee engagement based upon 'Al-Futtaim way' values
• Ensuring compliance with local law and Group policy throughout the employee lifecycle (from contract of employment to termination processes)
• Develop succession plans and retention strategies for key talent and positions
• Take necessary steps to create a performance focused culture where high performers are rewarded and inadequate performers are given an opportunity to improve or terminated
• Ensure compliance with the annual appraisal review: that all staff are properly appraised and have proper objectives/KPI's
• As part of annual HR plan specify key recruitment requirements for the following year, and communicate and discuss these with Group Recruitment
• As part of annual HR plan, specify training initiatives required to support the business
• Participate in project work as required to develop HR policies, procedures and practices

To apply for this role you should have the following skills, experiences and qualifications:

• Bachelor/Degree qualified, ideally with relevant postgraduate qualification in HR Management, Psychology or business Management
• Previous generalist HR experience
• Extensive experience in HR operations, especially in area of employee relations is essential
• Microsoft Office Proficient Level To succeed in this role, you will be an energetic, solutions focused individual, with excellent consultancy and conflict resolution skills.

You will also possess strong commercial acumen, and strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence a broad range of stakeholders

Bilingual candidates with extensive Middle East exposure are preferred.
