HR Business Partner - Service Office - IKEA Dubai Festival City

We are currently recruiting for a HR Business Partner for the IKEA Service Office, based in Dubai Festival City. Within the role, you will act as a trusted advisor to the Service Office line managers on all people matters. You will provide strategic support to the Regional HRBP in the form of project management, by developing and implement relevant HR strategies and practices that build on best practice retail and comply with Group HR policy. At all times reinforcing a culture of performance focus, meritocracy and diversity.

Other responsibilities will include -

* Managing Human Resources in accordance with local legislation
* Implementing documentation with regards to the HR responsibility
* Guiding the Store HR Managers, so they can guarantee the efficient and effective manpower planning for the stores
* Securing the staff contracts for all co-workers are in line with the local legislation
* Developing the long term and short term IKEA business plan with the Service Office Management
* Preparing the annual departmental budgets, including manpower, operating expenses and services
* Monitoring and controlling expenses of the approved budget
* Guiding and supporting the Line Managers with recruitment in order to enforce high level of the recruitment standards
* Advising on the organisation structures and efficient staffing levels
* Leadership development and talent management by deploying (with the assistance of the Al Futtaim Training Centre) development programs across the organization
* Leading and developing the Store Human Resources team, in line with departmental goals, objectives and systems
* Supporting the Group's Emiratisation Program for UAE National
* Guiding all Managers on Performance Management and monitoring that objectives are set for all staff and annual appraisals are appropriately conducted in line with the Al-Futtaim Performance Management Policy
* Providing effective staff relations through problem solving, mediation, and two-way communication
* Managing, controlling and implementing all existing policies and procedures pertaining to HR in conjunction with the Group Policies
* Providing support to the Managers with compilation and updating of job profiles and job descriptions
* Coordinating with the Store HR Managers that all Human Resources administrative activities (visas, work permits, personnel records, medical insurance, payroll, etc.) are current, accurate and efficient
* Contributing to the planning, execution and follow up of the Country's commercial calendar relevant to the Human Resources function
* Creating an environment where the IKEA Culture is strong, and where the diversity of staff and customers is valued and embraced
* Supporting the relocation or expansion processes through well structured and planned recruitment and selection, in order to ensure the availability of specialists, who have the knowledge to create functional and inspiring home furnishing solutions

Requirements

To be seriously considered for this role you must be able to dispaly the following skills and experience -

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

* Human Resource , Psychology or Business Management Degree
* CIPD qualification desirable

Minimum Experience:

* Must have a minimum of 5-7 years Human Resources management experience, retail preferred
* Must have strong mediation and counselling skills
* Must have strategic, analytical and tactical abilities
* Must have strong project management & change management skills
* Must have deep knowledge of local laws and regulations concerning the labour market
* Must have the ability to acquire and analyse local market demographics as well as economic and labour market conditions
* Must be computer literate
