Job description / Role
The HR Business Partner will provide an effective Human Resources function for all employees including organizational development and related functions. The successful candidate will represent the company in negotiation with employee relations and provide a consulting service to management regarding employee relations issues.
Delivering an effective HR service to the branch and projects specifically to ensure the effective implementation of comprehensive staffing, compensation and benefits, employee relations and organizational development systems.
Responsibilities:
- Labour relations including:
- HR advice and service - advising on interpretation of policies, procedures agreements and relevant legislation
- Monitoring and advising on adherence to HR policies, procedures and agreements
- Investigating and advising line managers on appropriate actions
- Facilitates a fair disciplinary climate
- Advises on the verdict and penalty
- Conflict resolution - mediates and facilitates between parties
- Engages in continuous development of organization structures, policies, procedures and engages in the development of occupational expertise
- Analyses human resources requirements of the companys business plan, prioritizes and plans implementation
- Assists in maintaining a positive atmosphere within the company, that allows for open two-way communication to ensure morale and productivity reach the highest possible levels
- Strategies on projects impacting on employees
- Facilitation and execution of projects
- Engaging with key stakeholders
- Facilitation of focus groups
- Presentation of workshops on how to manage change
- Consulting on strategy planning to address key employee and business issues
- Leadership development
- Organizational culture development current and future states
- Development of OD plans i.e. talent management, employee engagement, reward and recognition, performance
- Management of mentoring programs
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 - 8 years HR generalist experience in a heavy industry environment
- 3-5 years of experience within an HR environment
- Excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Internet)
- Fluent written and verbal English
