Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A large retail conglomerate headquartered in Kuwait is currently looking for a Business Partner to join their team. Reporting directly into the Group HR Director, you will join a well established HR team.

The Role

1. Drive the manpower planning process and ensure adherence to the manpower budgets and appropriate staffing levels.
2. Participate in the Talent Acquisition activities.
3. Follow up with the Talent Acquisition team to secure timely joining of new employees and ensure smooth on boarding of new employees.
4. Review employee disciplinary requests, employee grievances and coordinate investigations with Legal department.
5. Review Employee Separation requests and follow up with the Employee Service Center for processing of such requests.
6. Conduct and document exit interviews and recommend retention strategies.
7. Review promotion/salary review requests and secure GM HRD approval and follow up on implementation in payroll.
8. Conduct job analysis in coordination with the job incumbent/Manager; write and update Job Descriptions and prepare and update Organization Charts.
9. Oversee the process of performance appraisal and Individual Development Plans and communicate to the Training Center /Talent Management and follow up on the execution of the IDP.
10. Check and sign documents such as offer letters, contracts, joining memos, disciplinary warnings etc… and coordinate with the Employee Service Center to secure GM HRD approval.
11. Ensure compliance to HR Policies and Procedures.
12. Coach and advise Managers and staff on HR Processes, Policies and HR Best practices.
13. Oversee the Employee Satisfaction surveys and participate in the interpretation and identification of areas for improvement and follow up on implementation of recommendations.
14. Prepare HR metrics and provide HR reports to GM HRD and the business units identify areas for improvement and set and follow up on action plans.

Requirements

The Ideal candidate will be degree qualified with a minimum of 8 years experience within HR.

Strong English verbal and written communication skills are essential. Arabic language language skills would be advantageous, but are not essential.

HRCI and CIPD qualifications are also desirable.
