The Role


The Role


1. Effective HR and Training administration on behalf of the department and in line with legislation and/or Company policy, by:
- Maintaining all recruitment records and ensuring relevant forms and reference checks are completed.
- Completing and co-ordinating documentation for new employees, temporary appointments and staff movements accurately.
- Maintaining the department’s organigram to ensure accurate head count and departmental structure.
- Facilitating and co-ordinating the maintenance of all job and competency profiles.
- Maintaining and controlling the records for performance management reviews, career plans and training and development plans.
- Maintaining all training records and related expenditure for special projects
- Processing all Purchase Orders for training suppliers and ensuring accurate processing
- Maintaining the departments’ succession plans.
- Filing of all documentation to ensure accurate record keeping.

2. Analyse and monitor the department’s targets monthly, provide recommendations for corrective action and facilitate the communication strategies thereof.

3. Facilitate the recruitment & selection process of existing and potential staff on all levels to ensure all vacancies are filled timeously.

4. Coach and counsel all staff on areas of performance and suitable development and implement corrective actions if necessary to facilitate their career planning and performance.

5. Provide advice and input to the department’s succession plans that supports empowerment and staff development.

6. Recommend areas of improvement for the consideration of the HR Manager for implementation to improve the productivity and efficiency of the management of department’s human resources and training.

7. Act as a change agent by facilitating the implementation of various HR strategies thereby contributing towards changing the culture in the area of people management and development in the departments.

Requirements

B Degree/B Tech: Industrial Psychology or similar qualification.

- Experience in implementing various Change Management initiatives.
- Experience HR and Training.
- Experience in dealing with specialist staff and support functions to achieve business outcomes.
- Experience in coaching and counseling of employees on career issues and personal problems to assist in ensuring the fair treatment and maintenance of a high level of morale and motivation within the company.

Min: 2-4yrs HR experience
