Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Salary: AED 40,000 - 45,000

Our client, a medium sized, well established retail group are looking for an HR Manager. Their objective is to provide HR advice and support the Group and Line managers to meet HR needs and objectives in an effective and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop an HR action plan for the Company in line with overall business and corporate HR Strategy.
• Discuss manpower requirements business plans with line managers and unit head, seek details and justifications, provide inputs to help fine tune the requirements and prepare manpower budget inclusion in the overall annual budget of the Company.
• Establish specific selection processes for timely and cost effective recruitment of right personnel as per recruitment plan and in accordance to recruitment & manpower budgets.
• Generate and implement resourceful means to source candidates directly as far as possible, thus ensuring better control over costs and quality. Aim towards minimum lead time in the process from vacancy identification to actual recruitment.
• Implement and manage a plan for new employee induction and orientation at all levels and subsequent follow up on progress of new recruits in their jobs through the induction and probation period.
• Facilitate the performance management process at the line level, drive appraisal process for its successful completion each year, review and report outcomes to senior management for further analysis and decisions in training, reward and performance management.
• Handle staff grievances and disciplinary issues and provide appropriate guidelines to line managers for efficient and satisfactory resolution of the same in line with HR policies and procedures.
• Implement HR policies and procedures and advise line managers on procedures, precedents and interpretation of policies to ensure its application in a fair and equitable manner.
• Maintain suitable documentations and updated information on all HR initiatives and activities.

Key Performance Indicators:
• Recruitment lead time minimized / Timely placement of candidates.
• Quality of recruitment (Probation to confirmation ratio & Retention ratio during first year of employment).
• Qualitative input and timely completion of manpower budget and HR plan.
• Effectiveness in resolving line issues and providing quality of support in areas of performance management, implementation of HR policies, grievance redressal, discipline etc.

Requirements

• Degree in any discipline, followed by specialization in HRM.
• Understanding of relevant labor law provisions.
• General planning, organizing, prioritizing and system implementation skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
